Hi I'm Traci

I love crafts and music! I'm a teacher! And I love being a Mormon!

About Me

I live in Utah but have previously lived in Oklahoma, Arizona, and California. I love to scrapbook, make crafts (decorations are my favorite!), sing, play the piano, and read. I was recently married and love spending time with my husband. Eventually, I hope to be a mom. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a minor in early childhood education. I now teach elementary school and I love it. I also love to travel and have been to most of the continental United States, Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. I went on my first cruise this year and loved being out on the open ocean. I'm a very happy person and love to have fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I am lucky enough to have always had The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in my life. My ancestors through both of my parents joined the church in its early stages. When I was younger I relied on the testimony of my parents but as I got older and began to understand and comprehend more I gradually developed my own testimony about the truthfulness of this gospel. The reason I am a member of the church is not due to one experience that totally rocked my world but many small experiences that helped me gain my testimony.

How I live my faith

Pretty much I'm just myself and that's how I live my faith. Once a month the women in my ward have an activity and I help plan those activities. It's a good way for us to all get together and have a good time. It makes it easier to make friends within the ward. Also, I have a friend that comes with me to visit 3 other women in our ward. Those girls are some of my best friends. Pretty much anything I do during the day is directly related to my convictions as a Mormon.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Traci
We really live just like everyone else. Yes, there are things that set us apart from everyone else and some people might think we're crazy for those things but we're normal people. We don't participate in things that could be potentially harmful to our bodies, minds, or spirits. We like to go to movies, eat at restaurants, hang out at the beach, hang out with our families, and have a good time all the time! Show more Show less

What is being a Mormon like?

Traci
I think being a Mormon is awesome! One of the greatest things about this church is that it teaches a lifestyle. Is it hard? Some people might think so but I don't. There are things that we have been asked not to participate in but those guideline are meant as a safety, not a hindrance. I have never felt like I was missing out on anything from being a Mormon. I'm a happy, upbeat, positive person and I believe I can directly link that to my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Show more Show less
