Hi I'm Michael Turney

I am a Missionary. A sports nut, kinda goofy. Get it done kind of guy. I Love My purpose here In Life, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

There are many times in life where my true character has changed. It started off by a loving Mother and Father. Who taught me to have high standards and to live righteously. Dang... that sure took a long time to figure that out! I grew up with a Brother who is currently serving in Australia for his mission. We were very competitve as my mom would say. I look at life and My brother and I were a Team in everything. We were playing on the same baseball team, coaching each other, or sitting together in seminary. It was either on or off the field, we did everything the same. Occasionally we would get in a situation where we would wrestle and battle it out. In the heart, it's brotherly kindness... I have always had a spirit of Charity, love the Out doors, great youth leaders who have lifted and inspired me to become a leader. I have creative/organized talent, Which I am thankful that God has given me that gift which has saved me somedays in school and work.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in my high school years I was faced with lots of times where the Lord has tested my faith. I have seen where the Lord has streched forth his hand and has made me become strong, but then there are times where he has given me a heart and a mind to figure it out. In which thats how I have become Converted to this Gospel. It is through my life experiences of the Atonement and the Love of my Heavenly father. I always love a good challenge... Knowing how to overcome them is the Hard part. Through complete surrender and humility I felt a Purpose. A purpose which has Changed my life. That is knowing that I AM a child of GOD. That I matter to HIM. Reading the Book of Mormon has witnessed to me that God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That He never will change. He always wants to communicate with us. It's amazing to see that He took the time to speak to me personally through prayer. He put a feeling Love into my heart which I will never deny, when I asked God if the Book of Mormon was ture, The spirit manifested to me that it was of God. God does answer Prayers, in His own time and His own way. My conversion will never slow down. There is more light and truth that invites me to do good! I will obey.

How I live my faith

3 Nephi 27:27 I CHOOSE TO BECOME EVEN AS I AM...I am 20 years old, still not sure how to do some things, but what I do know how to do is Live the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been a process for me to live my faith. There are coutnless times that I mess up. I Know that through the Atonement of our Redeemer we can be rescued from darkness. I have a burning testimony that as I put my faith to the test, I receive more light and truth. I have learned that living my faith takes more than just living in the moment. It takes 25% preparation. 25% learning. 50% applying. My goal is to live with God again, As James says "Faith without works is Dead." To show true faith I go to church to be sanctified and cleansed by partaking of the Sacrament. So that I can keep my promises with God, to Always Remember Him. None of this would be possible if I didnt have a Family that supported me and loves me. We walk together and having the surety of an Eternal Family is one of the Greatest gifts that God has given to us.
