Hi I'm Sarah

I love Adventure, quilting is something i pretend I'm good at, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I asked my friends what they think of when they think of Sarah.... Their responses were said differently but in general they all said the same thing. Sarah is outgoing, friendly, genuine, and just fun!! I don’t know how I fooled them? (: But it is a compliment to be thought of so nicely. I grew up in what I like to call the country. I love being outside playing in the dirt and sun! I have a wonderful family that I love so much! My Dad passed away suddenly when I was 20 it changed our lives but I am grateful to personally know one of my guardian angels! I love that as time goes on Heavenly Father sees fit to add to our family! I'm the only unmarried one in my family and I love being an aunt to beautiful nephews and nieces! I’m still trying to figure out what I want to be “when I grow up” because I just love life and the many different paths we can choose. While trying to narrow the list I have learned that it’s through experiences that our hearts gain a desire. A desire to: try something new, work harder, never do it again, learn more, or to love someone is just the beginning of the list. Some of my desires are to: be a friend to all, find a reason to smile everyday, and when my time on earth is complete to be able to return to my God and have Him be proud of me!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and my parents lived the gospel of Christ, they taught us by example and through their testimonies to follow Jesus Christ! While young I wondered if what the church taught was actually true. From a child I was told in church to pray and ask our Heavenly Father if it was true. So over time I did just that. I lived by the standards, I went to church, I prayed and read scripture and slowly over the years came to know that it is true; I gained a witness for myself!! Today with all my being I can tell you that I know that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, He lived a perfect life, and He is the ultimate example. While He was on the earth He was baptized and He also established His church with priesthood organization. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church restored to the earth! I know that the atonement is real and for everyone! I know that families can be together forever! I know there is a Prophet on the earth today to lead and guide us in the way we need to live. I believe the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be Gods words to his children! I know that when we pray Heavenly Father answers our prayers! He truly loves us! And I love Him!!

How I live my faith

My life would be nothing without this church, because it's not just a church or religion it's a way of life. I learn of Christ and try and pattern my life after His example and teachings. I am far from perfect but that's okay, at least I'm trying to be like Jesus! Jesus said "love everyone" and that can be hard but as I serve others I really do learn to love them! So I look for ways to serve and uplift others. I was able to serve many wonderful people from Feb. 2012 to Summer 2013 as a missionary in the West Virginia Charleston Mission!
