Hi I'm Ryan Kurtz

I was born and raised in rural Canada, and grew up playing in the snow and serving those around me. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, anything outside. I am the second oldest of 4 children. I was raised in the church and taught to do what was right but never fully understood the importance of it until I left on my own, and am now forever grateful to be rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and really relied on the testimony of my parents for a long time but I too needed to gain my own testimony of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. I had the wonderful opportunity to ride with a scout group to the sacred grove by pedal bike, we rode a total of 330km but what was at the end of that ride was extraordinary. The feelings that were felt when we stepped into that grove of trees was indescribable, the peace that cam over me was astonishing. I know that Joseph Smith saw our Heavenly Father and our elder brother Jesus Christ in that grove of trees. That event launched my testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. SInce that event I have pondered the scriptures, and prayed to know if the Book Of Mormon is true and sure enough it is. I continue to allow the Atonement to change me into who Heavenlyy Father wants me to be. Why I love the gospel is becasue it is so universal but yet it is so simple and meaningful in everyones life. I know that my Redeemer Lives!

How I live my faith

How do I live my faith? I simply live what I know to be true everyday, I try to stand as a witness of our Savior at all times in all things and in all places. Right now I am currently serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I try to let people know that we have a Father in Heaven that loves us and wants what is best for us and has sent a prophet to lead and guide us in these tough times. It does not matter our background or circumstances the Gospel of Jesus Christ will help us have peace in this life and give us that drive to carry on becasue we know what we have to shoot for. All things are possible through faith in our Savior.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

Ryan Kurtz
Yes I do, Heavenly Father is the same yesterday today and forever, there is a prophet on the earth today that leads in guides his children. We know that Heavenly Father will reveal his secrets through his prophet as mentioned in Amos 3:7. Show more Show less
