Hi I'm Erin

I live and work in the California Bay Area. I may be a little biassed, but I've got the coolest family ever. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have two children that are all grown up, so now it's me and the dog. I'm not currently taking any college courses but I'd like to sometime in the future. I love to visit with friends and family but I don't like talking on the phone, so I tend to keep it short and sweet. I have a big family, and I must say that I truly lucked out because every one of them are so darn funny and a bit goofy, even my mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of this church, but decided that I'd had better things to do when I was younger. I made a lot of mistakes and I can truthfully say that I was very lost for a very long time. I only prayed when I was in trouble and I made a lot of empty promises to my Heavenly Father about going to church and reading the scriptures. I guess I finally came to a point in my life several years ago that I needed to be a better example to those around me, especially my children. It was time to make good on all those empty promises. I picked up the Book of Mormon and couldn't put it down. When I got to the end, I prayed to know about it's truthfulness as it encourages you to, and I got my answer. It was that I always knew the Book of Mormon was true, I had just forgotten it. I will never forget, and I will never lose my way again.

How I live my faith

I get the privilege of working with all the children that are 12yrs and under in my ward. They are truly inspiring with their wonderful spirits and really cute voices. I help to organize the events for the children and we are currently working on a really cool singing program that I can't wait to see at church on Sunday. I love the sisters that I visit with, and it is so awesome to make new friends that share the same views, although we are all very different. That's what makes everyone so awesome. I love this church and know with all my heart that it is true.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

It is not a requirement to serve a mission, but try to think of it this way: When you find a great restaurant you want to tell all your friends about it; the service, what you ordered, the location, and just how awesome it was. It's the same with finding the great things that come along with learning about your Heavenly Father and growing in faith. It is the most awesome thing that could ever happen to you, and you'll find that it becomes a privilege to share your knowledge with others so that you can help them to be happy as well. There are so many different ways that you can serve others, and in doing so, your Father in Heaven will be so proud of you. Show more Show less
