Hi I'm Arturo

I'm a husband. I'm a father. I'm a scientist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Things about me: 1. I have a an older sister, older brother, twin sister, and three younger brothers but I grew up as an only child with my paternal grandmother. 2. I love college football!!! 3. I am a engineer/scientist who works on developing new materials for energy storage (batteries). 4. I've always wanted to have my own family and now that I do, I feel like I am living my dream. My wife and I met in college and now we have three beautiful little girls and two little boys. Each one is very special and my relationship with each of them is unique. The Lord has provided me with the greatest source of happiness by providing me a family of my own where I can learn to love others in a more Christ like way.

Why I am a Mormon

The ultimate reason comes down to knowing Jesus Christ leads this church. I came to this knowledge the way every other member of this church is invited to do so, through prayer. I think that was one of the significant and first indicators, for myself, of divine leadership in the church. There are are other reasons which are really just appendages to the main reason. As I have continued to exercise my faith, I have repeatedly received confirmation of the truthfulness of the Prophet Joseph Smith's testimony concerning the establishment of the church. As I have studied the Bible, it is apparent that the Savior established His church during His mortal ministry in a very deliberate way. That organization has been restored in its divine form as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Another reason why I'm a member of the church is for how and what the church is helping me become. All throughout the Savior's teachings there was the challenge to become, to transform, to evolve into a more disciplined individual concerning God's commandments. Another reason I believe the organization of the church is divine is because it provide me with opportunities to help and serve others. Without these opportunities in the church I think I would lose my way very quickly. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is founded on ongoing revelation to help us through todays challenges and temptations and for that I am grateful.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to serve others in small and simple ways, mostly by trying to be a good citizen. I want to be a "force" for good, always leaving others feeling uplifted and motivated to try a little harder to live up to our true potential as children of a loving Heavenly Father. I live my faith by teaching my kids to grow up with a concern for others and to live the commandments quietly but with conviction. I live my faith by reaching beyond my current capacities with the understanding that the Lord will nurture further growth in my abilities and ultimately provide success in achieving my goals.
