Hi I'm colton tanner

Hi,I'm Colton I grew up in nevada,the oldest of 4, was a construction worker, walmart employee,now a Missionary and I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hey I'm Colton I'm currently serving a 2 year mission for the church of jesus christ of Latter Day Saints (the mormon church) and I like to do just about everything. Bonfires with friends, camping, mud bogging, etc. My dad is the chief of police and my mom is a teacher. I'm the oldest of 2 brothers and a sister i graduated from Virgin Valley Highschool. I worked as a construction worker and at walmart.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Mormon family. The time when I was truly converted was at the begining of my mission. I decided to go on a Mission when i turned 19 years of age. Shortly after I started my Mission, I remember trying to decide whether I should continue my Mission for the Church or to just go back home. As i knelt in prayer to ask my Heavenly Father what i should do I felt a peace that came over me. I identified that peace with a verse in the scritptures. Galations 5:22 , (the fruits of the spirit). I then realize that there are people in the Tacoma Washington Mission (were i am serving), that needed to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ . Shortly after, i had a prompting that lead me to read out of the Book of Mormon. I opened to Mosiah 2:41 were it reads: "for behold ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the comandments for they are blessed bolth temporaly and physically and if they hold out faithful to the end they are recieved into Heaven that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never ending happiness. Oh remember, remember that these things are true for the Lord God hath spoken it." This is the reason why i am still here on my mission. Because I want others to have the same joy and happiness we have, Although alot of doors we missionaries knock on are slammed in our face i always remember a quote that "A 1,000 no's is worth one yes!".

How I live my faith

I live my faith by helping others. By trying my best to be a good example and being as Christlike as I can. I decided to serve a mission because I realize how important it is to know why life is the way it is, and what is the whole plan of happiness. I want to share this knowledge and joy with all that will listen.
