Hi I'm Andy

I'm a husband, a student and a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up Oregon and come from a family of four boys. My poor mother had to put up with countless athletic events. I'm finishing up my last semester at Brigham Young University-Idaho and will soon be teaching social studies and coaching at the high school level. I've always wanted to make a difference in my community and teaching is the outlet I get to use to impact young people's lives. In 2009, I married my beautiful wife, Makenna. I love most sports but football and golf are my favorite two. Reading is another hobby of mine. I'll read anything; history, thrillers, young-adult and non-fiction.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. He died for me and has given me a chance to return back to my Father in Heaven. His church gives me the direction that I need. I know my purpose in life and what I need to be doing. Even though I've made mistakes and in my life, the Atonement of Jesus Christ has granted me indescribable joy as I have received forgiveness and strive to follow the example of the Savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to others and helpings others. My wife and I used to teach the 4 year-old children in Sunday School but now we have the opportunity to teach the 12-13 year old class at church. I appreciate the Christlike friendships that I get to form through church social activities like barbecues, basketball, parties, etc.
