Hi I'm Linlea

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife and student in college studying to be a math teacher! I love kids and teaching! I love my husband and our extended families! I love playing and watching sports, scrapbooking, organizing anything, country music, and St. Petersburg, Russia (I taught English there)! I've also recently taken up sewing and quilting. I'm not an expert but I love learning and practicing. I play the saxophone and piano and love learning church music on them. I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures! I'm easy going and am always up for an adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that it is led by Christ and His prophets today. I was raised in the church and throughout my life have felt the Spirit as I've followed the teachings of the church. I remember my baptism day very clearly and can not shake the warm feelings that I had. I knew then, at 8 years old, that I was then a member of Christ's church and have known every since. Through many small and larger experiences I have gained a stronger testimony of Christ, of this church, of the power in the priesthood, of the importance of temples and being obedient. The happiness that I feel from having the knowledge that the gospel gives and the gift of the Spirit that I have is indescribable. I love the gospel! I love my Heavenly Father and I know that He loves each of us and interacts with us, as His children. I know that Jesus Christ loves us and that only through Him can we return to live with Him and our Father in Heaven. I know this because the Spirit has born witness to me that these things are right. God lives and has given us this church to guide us through this life. What an incredible blessing that is to us!

How I live my faith

My husband and I just finished working with the cub scouts in our ward. That was so fun and those young boys have such amazing character and strong testimonies. We learned a lot from them! I now serve with the women in the church trying to reach out to those that need help. I'm on a service committee there to try and find ways that our ward needs help and fill that need. I also live my faith by trying to do what we are taught to do. I strive to attend the temple and all church meetings, serve others, and study from my scriptures each day. I'm grateful that my faith is part of my every day life. It's who I am and want to become.
