Hi I'm Beth

I'm a wife, a mother of 4, a creator of many things, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife. I have a wonderful husband who loves and cares for his family with great abundance. I love him. I am a mother. Motherhood has become my career as of now and I wouldn't change it for anything. I have 4 busy, spunky, lovable kids. Motherhood is a challenge, but with the gospel in my life, it makes it so meaningful and rewarding. I love to create. We love art and I love to help my kids use their imaginations and create fun projects (duct tape and cardboard are my speciality-it's amazing the fun you can have with a box). We love to paint, draw, build, bake, play outdoors and work together. I enjoy exercising (cycling class is my favorite!) to keep my body fit and able to play and work hard with my family. When I have spare time I enjoy taking pictures, painting, reading, gardening or just doing yard work and blogging about our fun family adventures. I also have a great interest in genealogy. My family history means a lot to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. My parents were converts to the church at the time they were getting married. I am grateful for their choice to join the church. I am grateful for the things they have taught me and raised me to believe. It's made me who I am. I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He loves me. I know He knows who I am. It's all so simple really. We are an eternal family. I want to live with my Savior again. I know if I follow God's plan for me, I will truly be happy in this life and the life to come. I will be able to see my family there again and we will all be together forever. I know I will be able to see my handicapped sister again, who passed away 13 years ago. She is so special to me. I believe that there is a living prophet today who communicates with our Heavenly Father. He is inspired. If we follow the teachings of the prophet, we will be on the right path back to our Heavenly Father. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet and restored the gospel of Jesus Christ on this earth. I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. Reading it can help us daily.

How I live my faith

In our church, I teach the little 3-4 year olds in Primary on Sundays. We call them Sunbeams, and that they are! I love their bright, sweet spirits. They are so pure and simple. I am also an assistant den leader over the 9 year olds in Cub Scouts. Two of my sons are in Cub Scouts now. It's exciting to be involved in something they do. It is a great program and I love the opportunity to be a part of it. I am a visiting teacher. I appreciate the opportunity to serve sisters in our ward and others in the community. Service is such an important part of our lives.
