Hi I'm Emily

and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just completed my University degree and one of my main hobbies is travelling and spending time with friends. I have been blessed to recieve the call to serve in the England, London Mission and look forward ti the opportunity to help bring others closer to Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but have come to know for myself that the church is true rather than just relying on my parents testimony. I am a Mormon because of my knowledge of the truthfulness of the gospel. Being a Mormon is the best thing I have ever done and it brings me so mush joy. I do not feel that being a Mormon is restricting, but rather that it is freeing as I am not restricted my any addictive ways of living. Being a member of this church means everything to me as it shapes my life and makes me a better person. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and speaks the words of Christ. I know that Jospeh Smith was a prophet and that we still have a living prophet. I know that God still speaks to us and I have so much comfort in knowing that as i choose the right, I can be guided by the Holy Ghost and be protected.

How I live my faith

Through the church I have the opportunity to teach children between the ages of 8 and 12 about the church and of stories from the scriptures. I also work with young single adults between 18 and 30 and help organise activities and scripture study classes called institute. Participating in these callings helps me live the gospel especially as it puts the principle of service into action and as it requires me to live righteously in order to set an example for these people I work with.
