Hi I'm Teri

I grew up in Washington State. I am a dental assistant. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated high school in 2006. I received my degree in dental assisting and my Associates of Technical Arts in college and graduated in 2008. I absolutely love what I do and I love the office that I work at. I have been married for a little over a year and I love my husband. We do not have any kids but we do have two wonderful dogs and one extremely smart cat. In my free time I enjoy writing in my journal, reading, scrapbooking, spending time with family and with my pets.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the religion and I was baptized at the age of 8. I was active in the church until I was 18. I attended seminary until my senior year of high school. I was inactive for about five years and realized something was missing in my life. I remember I used to have this warm comforting feeling inside of me when I was active in the church and it took me a while to realize where that feeling was lost and where I could find it. I went through a period of time where I felt alone and lost. I kept making up excuses to why I could not become active again until finally I realized that there was no excuse. Through the support of my family, husband, two very close friends, and praying, I was able to get back into church. I am a member of His church because of the truthfulness behind the Gospel and the comfort of the Holy Spirit. I do believe that this is the true church. I am thankful for the atonement and knowing that I am able to repent and better myself. I finally realized that His church helps me be a better person and helps me realize that I can become more like our Savior. I know this is where I need to be and our Savior has a plan and I am part of that plan. I am thankful for the fullness of the Gospel and feeling whole again because I know I have the most important part of my life back.

How I live my faith

About two months after becoming active again, I got my calling in the church and my visiting teaching assignment. At first I was really overwhelmed with the responsibility but now I absolutely love it. I am one of three teachers in the nursery. Our nursery has around 16 children, ranging from the ages of 18 months to three years. I love being around little kids and they lift my heart. I have a wonderful visiting teaching partner that has helped me understand the reason for visiting teaching and has helped me feel comfortable, since I have never done visiting teaching since now. I honestly believe that I am meant to do these callings. I know that if I do everything I need to on my part, pray and put my heart into it, I am able to strive and do the best that I can.
