Hi I'm Tonya

I grew up in Utah. I have two beautiful kids. I work from home part time. I restore and refurbish furniture. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 29 year old wife and mother to two sweet children. My husband is a Physician, and I am fortunate enough to stay home with my kids and work part time. I also restore and refurbish custom furniture. It's a fun hobby that has become a side business for me. I graduated with my Associates and someday hope to finish my last 10 credits to receive my Bachelors degree. My husband and I have been married for 8 years. I have seven amazing siblings and the greatest mom and dad anyone could hope for. I love spending time outdoors with my family. I enjoy reading a good book, watching inspiring movies, playing with my kids and love playing almost any and all sports. My husband and I love to travel and thrive off of spending time with our close friends and family. We find the most joy in the simple moments in life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was not only taught, but lived. We read scriptures together, prayed daily together, had Family Home Evenings on Monday nights, attended church on Sundays and looked for opportunities to serve others. When I was 14, I decided it was time for me to find out for myself if the Gospel was true. I started reading The Book of Mormon and some fictional church based books like The Work and the Glory. One night after reading in The Work and the Glory, I chose to pray and ask Heavenly Father if Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I had a warm comforting feeling surround and envelop me as I prayed. I knew it was true. This was a key moment in developing my testimony in Joseph Smith and in the Savior Jesus Christ. Since then, I still attend church, pray daily, read the scriptures, and strive to serve others. My testimony is growing all the time. I know with 100% certainty that there is a Savior, Jesus Christ and that he loves each and every one of us as his brothers and sisters. I know that Heavenly Father knows and cares about us as his children. I know that he wants us to be happy and find joy in our lives. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and was chosen to restore the Gospel on the earth today. I am thankful each and every day to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It brings me peace and happiness, especially in the small moments and in the times when I need peace the most.

How I live my faith

I am privileged enough to provide educational and spiritual activities for the 10 year old girls in our ward. We meet twice a month. We have lessons and activities where we talk about being good friends, how to take care of our bodies, preparing to become women and mothers.. We have such a good time together. I'm also able to visit teach some sweet women in our ward and get to know them as friends and help mates. We've created bonds that are so precious and special to us.
