Hi I'm Carissa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 21 years old and I am studying Psychology at the University of Ottawa. I love listening and giving advice. I come from a split family with 7 children and every member of my family means the world to me. I sing almost every where I go. I love country music, longboarding, and learning new things. Friends is my favourite tv show and I really enjoy old school super nintendo games! None of that compares to the love I have for having the church in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons that I am a member of His church, that I cannot even begin to explain them all. However, the most important thing to me in my life is my family. This church provides me with the knowledge that I am with my family for eternity. Nothing can make me happier than knowing that when my time on earth is done, I will still have the rest of time with my brothers, sisters, and parents. Through reading the scriptures and doing my best to live the commandments,I have a testimony that this is the most true church on this earth today. I know Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God and I know that President Monson is the living prophet today. All of the church leaders speak with such surety and spirituality that I know that the things that they teach, are meant for me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the one place on earth that I feel completely at peace. It is my home on earth.

How I live my faith

I live my faith differently all the time. There are always new things to focus on and new ways to better myself. I am the Young Single Adult Activities VP. I plan activities for the YSA here in Ottawa to help us get to know eachother better and to bond better as friends.
