Hi I'm Linda

I'm a daughter, Mother and Grandmother, family is very important to me, as is the Gospel, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a grandma, and love it. I work, my job is helping those with disabilities to find their abilities and enjoy life. I love to read and can never find enough time to read all the books on my to read list. I love to fish but haven't been in a long time. I also love to swim, but not where I fish any more, that water is to cold for this grandma, heated pools work much better for me now. I love attending Church, and church related activities, another thing there is to little time for. Of coarse spending as much time as I can with my grandchildren (6).

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a convert Baptized 10-24-98. I had been a methodist, Catholic, and Evangelical. So I can say I have been searching for the truth, I know with my heart I have found it. There were things I knew about the church before I heard about it. I had taught my children when they were young that they had lived with heavenly father before coming to live with mom and dad. So when I heard about that in the missonary lessons I knew it was true. I read sections of the book of mormon and prayed about it, to know if it was true. I got my answer from Heavenly Father. While I was being taught the missonary lessons I would talk to people other than members about the church, and would sometimes get some negative ideas that they thought were true about mormons, I then asked the missonary's and it was a different concept all together. I went to member friends for some answers. A dear friend once told me you don't buy a pair of nike's from a addidas salesman, you don't learn the truth about being a latterday saint from an evangelical preacher.

How I live my faith

I love attending church on Sunday, it is such a renewing event. I spend time reading the scriptures daily, there is nothing like reading the words of Heavenly Father, and our prophets. Without the guidance I do not know where I would be. My Church family also has been an inspiration to me, and helped me get through many storms. I spend time working on my genealogy, I have gone to Utah to the genealogy library and helped others finding their information, it is a work that I love, and is easy to get lost in. Just can't get it done fast enough.
