Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in a small mountain town in CA and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I don't deny that my life could be described as picture perfect! From the small town I grew up in, to loving parents and now being a husband and father. All this being said, I truly believe our Heavenly Father places us in life situations that test us. He has a great faith in our ability that even ourselves or loved ones cannot comprehend. I have been fortunate enough to gain an education, establish a wonderful family and even have a career that allows me to do what I love and am passionate about. I love the outdoors and truly enjoy what I deem is one of God's greatest gifts to his children, this earth. I love to bow hunt, fly fish and snowboard and now my greatest joy is sharing my passion of these activities with my children. Life is great and it only gets better as we recognize why we are here and our responsibilities as children of a loving Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

The simple answer to why I'm a Mormon is both my parents are converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They joined during my infancy and were faithful to the testimony they gained through prayer and fasting, raising me with this lifestyle. Did I always believe, no! At the age of 19 I was challenged with going on a mission. As many know that is what 19 year old boys are supposed to do. I entered the Missionary Training Center(MTC) on December 9, 1998. No true testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but with a feeling that this was what I was supposed to do. My mission call was to Costa Rica and would required me to speak Spanish. I attempted many times to ready the scriptures in Spanish but struggled with comprehension. Until one night, late and unable to sleep I opened the Book of Mormon to 3rd Nephi. At this time, the words although written in Spanish came clear to me and my comprehension of the Savior's visit to the American continent, was so vivid that I knew it was true. My heart, swelled. I was emotional overcome with joy and the understanding that the teachings I had received throughout my entire life weren't just good principles to live by but doctrine from the true and everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ. From that day until today, my testimony of the truthfulness and validity of Jesus Christ as our Savior, Joseph Smith as the Prophet of the restored gospel in our day and the only true church on the face of this earth have been the reason for my existence. Everything about life hinges upon this and so my life has been dedicated to growing and sometimes just maintaining these same feelings from that night in the MTC. I know God lives, I know he sent his Son to provide for us an atonement! Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world and his sacrifice has embraced me through many trials and tribulations. He provides me with the true understanding of joy in this life.

How I live my faith

Through the years I've hadwonderful opportunities to participate in church service and leadership. Through those experiences I've gained a greater love for all of our Heavenly Father's children. One of the greatest responsibilities I have had in the Church was what us Mormons call hometeaching. These experiences of visiting with members of the Church from all walks of life has provided me with a greater understanding and Faith of our Heavenly Fathers grand plan for us, his children. Throughout the years I've served in many different capacities within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, but nothing has taught me more, and had a greater impact on my spiritual growth (faith) than being a young boy going out with his father to administer to members of the church.
