Hi I'm Kaha'akea Sproat

I grew up in Kamuela, HI. I love to sing and play music. I love my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Music is the joy and gift that God has given me and my family. I love to share the talents which I have been given with everyone. I have recently returned from my mission in the California Santa Rosa Mission. I loved being able to serve the people in the northern California area. I am loving being home but I still miss being a missionary. I love my family in the home and in the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I have much to be thankful for and one that is most important to me is my mother. She has taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ and It has given me a purpose in life that I cannot explain. It has the power to change the way I think, the way I feel. I only know these things because I have tried them over and over again. Nothing comes in this life except we do things. I know that I have received the happiness and joy that God has wanted for me. I share the gospel with others because it is a powerful truth that indeed changes lives. I also know that we will see our beloved family members who have passed on. I myself have lost family members who are dear and close to me. A father, an Uncle, and a brother. I feel the pain that is associated with this kind of loss, but this pain is very temporary when I turn to God and seek his guidance. I have asked and listened for the answer to questions such as "What happens to my loved ones after they die?" or "Will I ever see them again?". His answers come quietly but powerfully if we allow it. They are not always loud or sudden, but they do come. I have since shared that testimony in this work. That is how I act upon this truth that God has given me. He gives us answers we need to give us truth and comfort. Never forget that God, is not just a God, but that He is your father. That He is your loving Father in Heaven. I know that His Son, our brother, Jesus Christ is our savior and redeemer. That we have a prophet today. That he is led and guided by Our Father in Heaven and Jesus Christ who love and know each and every one of us. I know this by the power of God through the Holy Ghost, that this is God's true and living church. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live it by working everyday to fix myself with the help of God. Prayer plays a big part in how I live my faith. I need to communicate with my Father and listen to His spirit through the feelings of goodness and kindness that only His spirit can give as confirmation of truth. On top of that I have friends that support me in my choice to be better everyday. Being an example alone can be hard. Knowing that there are others behind you to help makes things easier.
