Hi I'm Christine

I'm home-schooled, I'm a marathon runner, I'm a sister, I'm a friend, I'm a baker.... and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am home-schooled with my sister by my mom and dad. I love to run, figure-skate, and bake. In my spare time I love to be outdoors hiking and camping. I also love to travel and see new places and meet new people.

Why I am a Mormon

I love going to Church. It is the one day of the week I can relax and focus on Christ. When I attend church, I feel closer to my Savior. The church has helped me stay on the right path, by giving me standards to keep, so I can stay spiritually, physically, and morally clean. I love the Book of Mormon. I know that it was restored by the Prophet Joseph Smith. When I read the Book of Mormon I feel the love of God and His peace. I love how the Book of Mormon constantly testifies of Christ, God, and their love for us. It also testifies continually that the way to true happiness is by following Christ's example and keeping the Commandments-I have found that as I live by these principles I feel happier. I know that Heavenly Father loves all of His children so much, and that He wants each of them to have an opportunity to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the atoning sacrifice of my Savior Jesus Christ, and the opportunity to apply it every day in my life as I try to follow Him. I also know that eternal families are real and that we will be able to see our loved ones again. I know that the full Gospel has been restored again and that through it we can feel peace, love, and joy. Through Christ, we can receive eternal life and live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints I do my best to live my faith. Each morning Monday-Friday I have the opportunity to attend a youth scripture study class called Seminary, it is from 6-7 am, but it is a great way to start the day. Every week I also have the opportunity to volunteer at the Public Library and at an elementary school nearby, It is a great way to serve, and I have fun in the process. I have also been able to participate in projects to beautify the area where I live. Currently I have to opportunity to serve on a committee that plans a home-school conference that over 200+ youth attend each year. By serving on this committee I've learned so much about loving and giving your whole heart to those you serve, just as our Savior Jesus Christ does for us.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Yes! We do believe in the Bible. As a Mormon, we study the Bible often. The Bible is witness that Christ is our Savior. With the Bible though, we also have the Book of Mormon which is another testament that Jesus is the Christ. The Book of Mormon and the Bible work together to testify of Christ. Show more Show less
