Hi I'm Patricia

I'm a wife, mom, and graphic designer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m a Mom to four children and grandma to one. I am the wife of a wonderful man who I’ve been married to for over 26 years. I’m a graphic designer and love creating family mementos and keepsakes with Photoshop. I like to ski, travel, read, and I love hanging out with my family. Home is my favorite place to be.

Why I am a Mormon

The plan of salvation resonates with me. It gives me purpose and direction because I know where I came from, who I am, and where I’m going. It’s an anchor in this ever changing and confusing world. The principles of the gospel make sense to me—I haven’t found any other set of religious beliefs that can answer so many questions, or that offer a complete set of ideals in order for me to be my best, healthiest self. The first principle of the gospel is faith—we came to this earth to be tested. If we had all knowledge, it would defeat the purpose of being here. I know that a person must first have a desire to believe in God and His plan, and then exercise faith by living obediently to His commandments. After we have done this, the witness that it is true will come. This is how I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. The Holy Spirit has testified to me of its truthfulness. It’s been said that a spiritual witness is stronger than an eye witness. My testimony is emblazoned on my soul and cannot be denied or erased. The joy that being filled with His spirit has brought me is indescribable at times.

How I live my faith

I am not perfect, and continue to struggle to overcome weaknesses. However, knowing that my Heavenly Father loves me and wants me to succeed is a driving force in my life. He wants me to keep trying to be a little bit better each day. How we treat others is at the very heart of our gospel. It’s the little things we do that make us true Christians and followers of Christ. Serving others brings me the most happiness and fulfillment in my life. While there are many things I can do on my own, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints offers a structured way for me to serve. I have a calling to work with the young teenage women in my neighborhood. I love helping them, teaching them and mentoring them. Watching them grow and develop their testimonies is one of the best things ever. I’ve been blessed with so much, I feel it is the least I can do to help others and give back to members of my community. Also, our church has an enormously successful humanitarian program. I’m proud to be a part of those efforts.
