Hi I'm Lauren

I enjoy playing sports, I have two wonderful kids, I love Country music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Texas and have also lived in Utah and Arizona. I am a wife and a mom to two young darling children. I enjoy photography, playing sports and exercising. Currently I have the very busy but wonderful job of being a stay-at-home mom.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with the Gospel in my life. From a very young age I could tell the joy the Gospel brought into my life and how it helps to guide us towards our Savior Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father. When I was sixteen years old my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. At any age this is scary and difficult to deal with, and for me as a sixteen year old girl it certainly was. This was the first major trial in my life, and I remember how the knowledge of the Gospel, and the eternal perspective it gives us, helped me through this difficult time. Now as an adult I have an even firmer belief in the teachings of The Chuch or Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Through different experiences in my life I have personally seen how everything the Gospel teaches helps us to draw nearer to our Heavenly Father and Savior. The Gospel breathes hope and happiness, and teaches us where we have been, why we are here, and what our potential is. This eternal perspective gives me great strength in my life. I know without a doubt that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father, who knows me individually and completely. Jesus Christ is our Savior, who attoned for not only our sins, but has also felt our pains and heartaches. Through his atonement and ressurection we too can live again and be with our families eternally. The Book of Mormon is true. It, along with the Bible, testify of our Savior. Through reading and studying it, I have gained such a rich and deep relationship with my Savior and Heavnely Father. I am Mormon because I have studied the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and have seen it work throughout my life as the greatest source of truth and happiness. By following the teachings of the Gospel, one can and will come to know their Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ, and find great joy and happiness in the glad message of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

The Gospel has shaped me into who I am, therefore how I live my life is a reflection of my faith. Some things that I do which comes from this faith are: 1. Prayer. Personal, family, and couple prayer are extremely important. Communicating to our Heavenly Father on a daily basis (and more than once during the day) helps me to strengthen my faith and my relationship with Him. 2. Reading the scriptures. The Book of Mormon and the Bible both testify of our Savior and of our Heavnely Father. Through consistent scripture study I have gained a stronger relationship with them. 3. Service. The Savior spent his life serving others and taught us the importance of doing this. I have made it a personal goal to find opportunities to serve others. No matter how big or how small it may seem, through service I know I am striving to be like my Savior and hopefully helping to make a positive difference in the life of another.
