Hi I'm Dan Hall

I am 21 years old. I grew up in South Africa. I'm a Musician and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of four children and we have all been born into the Church. Because of our wonderful parents, and for the Gospel principles that they have taught us, we have all stayed strong in the church and all three boys have served missions. I served as a missionary in the Canada Toronto Mission and loved every minute of it. I love music; I've played in several Orchestras’ and sang in different Choirs too. My plan is to start school this Fall and become a Music teacher and conductor. I have a great love for hockey and although I am not that good at playing it yet it is still a lot of fun. Before my mission I worked at different Car dealerships as a Detailer. And I am an uncle to 5 great neices and nephews.

Why I am a Mormon

Well I have always been a member of the church however my true conversion happened when I was in my teens and especially as I was preparing to serve as a missionary for the Church. I had always heard that the Church was true and had always gone to church with my parents. I saw my two older brothers go off to serve their missions and I really saw the joy and happiness that it brought them. I wanted to know the church was true for myself before I went out and told others about it. I set aside some time for scripture study and prayer. As I was doing so I could see the influence that it had on my life and my attitude toward different things. I felt peace as I read the Book of Mormon and really began to understand the principles that were being taught; as I applied them I saw the blessings that came. My spiritual confirmation came as I applied Moroni's promise (Moroni 10: 4-5) The Spirit bore witness to me that the book that I had just read was from God and that the person that translated it, Joseph Smith, was indeed a Prophet and he restored the same Church that our Savior, Jesus Christ, established while He was here on Earth. My testimony has been strengthened as I served as a missionary and as I saw the difference that it made to others and the blessings that came from living the Gospel.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is simple yet I have really seen it brings blessings. Everyone knows that I am a member of the church. I try to be an example because of that and live my life in a way that the Savior lived His. I study from the scriptures daily and pray as often as I can. I try to serve in the church as much as I can and especially love to share some of the talents that I have with others, and also see theirs. I have found that we don’t have to do anything big in order to follow our Savior and the teachings that He has given us but as we continue to do the little things our testimony will grow and we will be able to live with our Father again.
