Hi I'm Lynette

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 5 and a grandmother of 3. I enjoy sewing, going to movies and eating out. I have recently returned to college to finish my education. I currently work as a cake decorator at a local business.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At the age of 8 I made the choice to be baptized. I have a deep love for my Father in Heaven. I know that he knows me by name and that He loves me. I am grateful for His unconditional love. I am also thakful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I know that He is my Father in Heaven's son and my elder brother. I love reading in the New Testament about his life and ministry. I'm thankful for His example that I can look to and try to follow. I am thankful for the atonement that allows me to repent of my shortcomings and be worthy to eventually return to be in His presence. I am thankful for the power of prayer and I know that comfort and answers come as I pray to my Father and ask for His guidance and help. I know we have a living prophet on the earth that is a mouthpiece for my Father in Heaven and His son Jesus Christ. As I follow the counsel of the prophet I am happy. My life has been greatly blessed and I have found purpose in life by living and studying the gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I work with the girls in our church between the ages of 12 and 18. We meet together as part of church on Sunday where I prepare lessons to help increase their faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ. I also meet with this same group of girls on Wednesday nights where we enjoy activities that focus on values like faith, divine nature, individual worth, knowledge, choice and accountability, good works, integrity and virtue. I enjoy socializing with the women in our church. We meet regularly to strengthen friendships, learn skills and have activities to help strengthen my faith in Jesus Christ. I visit a few sisters each month in their homes to develope friendships and share a spiritual message with them. I enjoy finding opportunities to serve them.
