Hi I'm David Mitchell

I'm a Mormon.I grew up in Gilbert Az. I attended the Gilbert ward in Gilbert when it was the only ward in gilbert.

About Me

As a child I remember attending church in a building located on the North West corner of Gilbert Road and Elliott. At that time there was only one ward in Gilbert. I went to Gilbert elementary school. A lot of my friend’s were from the church. I loved going to church it has always made me feel so warm and comfortable inside. I remember when they divided the ward and made the Gilbert second ward that was hard to see all my friends move to a different ward. I played football at Gilbert High and won a state championship my junior year and was runner up my senior year. I wrestled was pretty good and pole-vaulted threw shot and disc in track. I have had lots of callings, primary, Young men, Sunday school presidency, Young single adult leader and now High Priest group Leader. It does not matter where I serve or whom it is with as long as I am in the service of the Lord. I am currently employed by the church as a facilities manager. I love most sports unfortunately at my age I “try” to golf and watch the rest on TV. I love giving service with the gifts the Lord has given me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because one day I want to live with my heavenly father in the celestial kingdom with my wife and children. The Church of Jesus Christ gives us the foundation we need to stay grounded in this society, with all the corruption around us, it lets us know Satan is here and working stronger then ever to pull us away into corruption. Having a testimony that the book of Mormon is another testament of Christ as well as the New and Old Testament are a Testament of Jesus Christ that he is our brother. Who gave his life for us so we could be saved. I know and testify that our heavenly father loves us so much that he created a plan so we could return to live with him again. In that plan he knew that we would make mistakes’. So before the world was created he asks his son Jesus Christ to come to earth set an example for all mankind and Atone for our sins. I know and testify that Jesus Christ did live here on earth, he did set a perfect example for us to follow and he did atone for our sins. I as well know that as we listen to the promptings of the Holy Ghost we will not be led astray. Satan is here!!! He is working harder then you could ever know to pull us away from the savior and into all the worldly challenges that we face daily. Without the foundation of the Church of Jesus Christ in my life I would be a lost soul in this lost society that surrounds us everyday. I beg of you to be strong turn to the Scriptures. It will fill the empty feeling you so desire to be filled. Know “truly know” that your heavenly father is there for you. Please turn to him and he fill that empty void that you so desire to be filled. Know your heavenly father truly loves each and every one of his children an yes this includes you!!! I say this in the name of Jesus Christ Aman

How I live my faith

To live my faith you have to be dedicated to read the scriptures, ponder what you read, and try to use it in your life. Know that they are there for us to us a to get a greater knowledge and underrating, witch leads to a strong foundation to prevent all Satin trials to read the scriptures turn to the lord you will be happy

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?
