Hi I'm Paula

I'm a Mormon. I'm a native Califorian living in Washington. I have four adult children. I'm a retired reading tutor.

About Me

Gardening, genealogy, sewing, baking, and walking are my hobbies. I love viewing other people's gardens, noting their variety of plants, how and where they're growing. I'm a seed gatherer, too. I exchange and share an assortment of annual and perainnal seeds. I enjoy quilting. I'm a mother/grandmother. My husband and I are ward missionaries.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I love my pioneer heritage. The strong spirit of faith, determination, perseverance, and obedience to the gospel is a valued legacy. I am thankful for the Prophet Joseph Smith's dedication and obedience in being an instrument in restoring the true Church of Jesus Christ to the earth in these latter-days. I am thankful that Christ succeeded in completing His mission while on this earth. I am eternally grateful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. We will be able to live with our Father in Heaven as we continually repent and stay true to His commandments. I grew up in an alcoholic, disfuctional home. It's taken many years to become steadfast in choosing to follow the Savior's example. I am better each day at following the will of our Father. One of my goals is to be a trustworthy disciple of Jesus Christ. It's exciting living at this time in the earth's history!

How I live my faith

Each day I live to celebrate the gospel. There was a time when getting out of bed was my greatest accomplishment. After I retired, I volunteered in our local elementary school library. When released as family history center co-director, my husband and I were called to be ward missionaries. We enjoy visiting our community members, leaving a brief gospel message with a challenge to read the Book of Mormon. We look forward to meeting new people each day.
