Hi I'm Susan

I have seven children. I'm a full-time Wife; Mom and Grandma. I love nature and all it's wonders. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being with my family. Whenever we can have holidays; home evenings or get togethers, I am happy for that. I've worked in the Public Schools in the past as a teacher aide; play-ground monitor; cafeteria worker; special ed clerk; and Kid's corner Manager. I enjoy working with children and youth. I love gardening; planting flowers and caring for our home. I am currently searching out my ancestors and trying to share the stories and life's lessons learned by them with my children and grand children.

Why I am a Mormon

From my earliest recollection, I was taught that Jesus and my Father in Heaven loved me. My mother taught that to me through the song "Jesus loves me this I know. For the Bible tells me so. Little ones to him belong. We are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me, the Bible tells me so." As I grew older, I was taught that the Bible and Book of Mormon and other modern scripture testified of God's love for me. That He gave His only Begotten son, Jesus, to atone for my and all man-kind's sins. That when I did wrong, I could repent and be forgiven. That through prayer, I was never alone. But, always had a way to reach my Father in Heaven and He would send His Holy Spirit to be with me to help me make good choices and know what path to walk daily.

How I live my faith

Now, approaching sixty years old, I have found all these early teachings to be true. I still love singing songs about Jesus. I still am strengthened by the word of God in the scriptures. The principles of repentance and forgiveness give me hope in my life and I use them often. I seek daily for the Holy Spirit to be with me and I am grateful when I feel His promptings to help me make good choices. I work with 10 wonderful young women in my church. They are ages 12 and 13. We help the girls have opportunities for service in our community; and service in our church area. Together with the girls we plan weekly activities where we learn homemaking skills; gospel subjects; leadership skills and ways to be a beautiful young woman inside and out. I learn from the girls and their desires to be the best they can be.
