Hi I'm Justin

I'm a missionary. I don't knock doors. I like dreamcatchers. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Whatss up.. I hope people realize that mormons are normal. Take me for example. I like to snowboard, rock climb, mountain bike, cook mac'n cheese and skydive. I really enjoy being outdoors and honestly doing anything that gets my adrenaline pumping. Cooking mac'n cheese doesnt really fall into that catagory of extreme, high-adrenaline sporting... but i guess I could try it falling out of an airplane. We'll see how that works. Anyway, I grew up in good 'ol utah for basically my whole life until I was 19 years old and as we speak (or I guess.. as i ramble on to someone that i hope is reading this) I am in Mexico preaching what I have grown to know is true. It honestly is a really long story of why and I'll explain a little bit about that later. I'm planning on finnishing up my mission in May and returning to study to be a dentist, get married, have some chillins, and try to teach them the best that I can through word and example of how to live a happy life. I guess that would be a goal that I have.. Live in happiness and try to help others feel the same way.

Why I am a Mormon

This is the part where I tell you about the WHY? Why am I in Mexico serving a mission? Why am I a mormon? Why don't I drink and smoke? Why do I still go to church on Sundays even though my mom and dad aren't here to ground me if I don't? Why? Good question. There are various reasons why... but basically it all ties back to one truth. I believe in and do what i do because I have grown to love my older brother Jesus Christ. I have come to better understand a small portion of that night that He suffered in the Garden of Gethsemani. I understand that it is only through obedience to His commandments that I (or anyone for that matter) can return to live with my Heavenly Father. The way I see it, that is the ONLY way that I can show my Lord the love that I have for Him... by obeying the small and simple things that he has asked me to do. I have also grown to know that it is 100% impossible to live a life justifying sins and have a true happiness. There is not one person on this earth that lives a sinful life and lives a truely happy life. However, there are many who do not know that through exact obedience is achieved the peace and happiness wanted. The best way that I can learn the HOW is in this church. The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

The calling that I have is to tell everyone that i meet in mexico about what it is that we believe. Honestly, it has been one of the most amazing experiences that I have had in my life. There are a lot of people that have a lot of different questions about our church and why it is that we claim that we have the only true church on the earth. I have studied it out, i have pondered about the things taught, and most importantly, i have asked God if these things are true. If you are confused about your religious views, find some of our missionaries with the white shirt, tie, and a funky tag that says "Elder" on it. They will help you find what you didnt even know you had missing.
