Hi I'm Scott

I am a Physician Assistant. I want to make the world a better place, one person at a time. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, and currently reside in Visalia, California. I recieved my Bachelors of Arts Degree, at Weber State University; Major: Spanish, Minor: Zoology. After which I moved to Arizona after being accepted in to a Physician Assistant program at A. T. Still University. Upon graduating I have been working as a Physician Assistant. I'm happily married to my wife, who is a great cook, and an inspiration for me to be a better person with each day! We have been married since June 2010. I enjoy the outdoors and many activities such as hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, snowboarding, and skateboarding. I have recently taken an interest in American History, particularly during the time of the Revolution. I am a strong supporter of the U. S. Constituion and the vision that the Founding Fathers of America laid out for us. I am inspired by their courage to fight for a better life founded on principles of freedom and TRUST IN GOD.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints for 5 generations. Since I was a child I was taught "Mormon" values, however I was never forced to accept my parents beliefs, but was rather encouraged to decide for myself which path I would follow. As I grew into adulthood I began to question if what I had been taught all my life was really true. Why so many other religions? As I looked into the beliefs of other religions I quickly realized that we all share many basic consepts of truth and correct principles, however The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has ALL the elements and is more COMPLETE, than any other religion. I also took to heart the promise given in The Book of Mormon, to sincerely pray and ask God in faith if the book is true. I have felt on numerous occasions that he has given me an affirmative answer that IT IS TRUE.

How I live my faith

I put my faith in to action, by first seeking to learn and know the will of God. How can we do his will if we don't know what his will is? I learn his will by daily studying the scriptures, praying to our Father in Heaven asking for his guidance. I seek to identify areas in my life that I need to improve to become more Christlike in my thoughts, words and actions. I set goals to actively change my behavior to emmulate his examaple. I make mistakes, once identified, I seek for repentance and forgiveness. I look for ways that I may serve others each day. Service can be given in small ways; a kind word, a smile, a listening ear. At church I have given service as an instructor to children, adolecents, and adults. I seek to share with others the happiness that I feel by living the teachings of Christ and encouraging all to learn of Jesus Christ and apply his teachings in their lives. As Christ stated "This is life eternal that may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." -John 17:3
