Hi I'm Shelly

I'm from California. I'm a health nut. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was a gymnast for eight years and have danced for four. I have a passion for health and am currently studying Public Health at BYU. I love being active and playing sports. I am married to the greatest man on earth and enjoy hanging out with him every day. I have two older sisters and am the youngest in my family. I am a convert and was baptized a little over three years ago. I love interior design, shopping, and photography. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I can't wait to have a family with hopefully six children.

Why I am a Mormon

Since I was young I have always been drawn to the church. My best friend growing up was Mormon and I loved being around her family. The family unit was a big reason why I decided to learn more about the church. They had a radiance about them and loved to spend time with each other. I knew that I wanted the same thing for my future family. I'm grateful that families can be together forever. I'm a Mormon because this gospel gives me all the peace and comfort that I need. Through prayer to my Heavenly Father and the scriptures, I can find any answer that I am seeking. This church helps me see my purpose here on earth and what things matter the most.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church for three hours every Sunday, being of service to others, and sharing my testimony to those around me. I am a teacher (I teach the women of the church) and teach a lesson once a month. I visit the women in the ward frequently and plan fun events that get everyone involved. We love to put on family home evenings in our home and invite our neighbors and ward members to participate. We try to make our home a place of peace and happiness and a place where people feel they can come to whenever they want. I also live my faith through my blog. I often post quotes and talks from the prophet and his apostles that I feel others would learn and grow from. I have found that this is a great way to teach the gospel to my family, who are non members.
