Hi I'm Ray

I'm an upholsterer, I'm a defensive lineman, I'm a homerun king, I'm a husband, father, grandfather and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town. I have had an upholstery buisness for over 40 years. I was a defensive lineman in college at BYU, I played softball until I was 55, I teach an upholstery class, I am a father of seven children, I am a grand father of eight grand children, and I am married to my best friend. We work laugh and love together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a mormon and I've always enjoyed the simplicity of the faith and its concepts make so much sense to me. Not living its concepts would feel very foreign to me and I would not feel comfortable if it was not a major part of my life. I enjoy my association with my ward family and even though sometimes you move and your ward family changes i still feel at home. I enjoy attending church and hearing other's testimonies and their spiritual experiences and hearing the lessons in church makes me want to continually strive to be a better member and therefore a better person. I am proud of my mormon heritage and I honor my ancestors who sacrificed much so that i could be raised a mormon.

How I live my faith

The church is a very service oriented church we serve our fellow members and nonmembers alike. I love giving service. It gives me a sense of great self worth, it helps me to appreciate the things that I have and the ability to share with others the talents and abilities I am blessed with. I teach an adult sunday school class and I learn more then than the students. I enjoy sharing ideas and hearing their ideas. I love holding the priesthood which is the authority to act in God's name and is used to bless his children. That is the reason i live my life so that i am worthy to exercise my priesthood whenever it is needed. I love my Heavenly Father. I love that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and has restored the gospel to the earth. I have no doubt of its divinity and truthfulness.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

absolutly not, when we have block clean ups we clean up everyone's yard when we deliver treats to our niebhors it is to all of our niebhors when someone needs assistance changing a tire or with a vehicle or is in a tough circumstance we do not ask if they are mormon before we help Show more Show less
