Hi I'm Kelli

I'm from small town Idaho. I love sports and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a really small town in Idaho where most people farmed. I am so grateful that I was able to be raised in a place where hard work and creative fun were valued. Now I go to college and am studying Communication Disorders. I have loved being at college, gaining knowledge, meeting new friends, learning about life, and having the most amazing time of my life. Someday I hope to be a speech-language pathologist and helping people of all ages live a better life. In my spare time, I love to watch sports and be a crazy fan! Music is also one of my passions and I love playing the violin and piano.

Why I am a Mormon

There have been several times in my life that I have asked myself this question. I have had my doubts, struggles, and questions. Yet when these hard times come, I have been able to turn to The Book of Mormon and words of the living prophets to gain reassurance. As I read these words, I am able to feel peace and comfort, a feeling within myself that I cannot deny that affirms that the things I am reading are true. I have also been able to turn to the Lord in prayer, crying out to him to know the truth. Although the answer hasn’t always come immediately, it has always come. This church gives me so much happiness and joy. When I am living the things I now know to be true, life goes better. When I am in church, reading the scriptures and the words of the living prophets, I feel calm and reassured. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. It makes me who I am today.

How I live my faith

Every day I begin my day talking to my Heavenly Father, asking Him to help me live the way I know I should and the way that He wants me to. I then go throughout my day, striving to pay attention to the thoughts and feelings that come to me, prompting me to do those things that I asked the Lord to help me with when I prayed that morning. Each time I follow the promptings I receive, I am more happy as I realize I am doing the things that I am supposed to. As I know that these promptings come from the Lord who loves me, I am able to do the things that I know I should as the Lord would never tell me to do something contrary to His will.
