Hi I'm Viliami Hopoate,

Born in New Zealand. Raised up in Sth Auckland, Otara. Been through a Spiritual Battle. Came out Stronger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am serving my mission in the New Zealand Wellington Mission. I honestly love serving others around me. Its who I am. Having a full understanding of my purpose, to help others in any way for them to come to know who our Savior is and what he has done for us. I have a loving family back home and around the world who supports me on this great journey. Long story short, I did study, work and live life to the fullest before mission and since I've been here serving my 24month service, I've witness a lot of lives flip like coins, especially the youth, from misery to joy through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I love sports, changing lives through our Saviors example, hanging out, having fun, especially reading the Book of Mormon (Mosiah 27) and I love our Heavenly Father.

Why I am a Mormon

A time in my life when I was in my youth days. Challenges and trials became much more difficult. I felt like I had no one to turn too. But I did feel something real surrounding me with great comfort. I knelt down and asked the one true God who gave me life what I needed to do. I suddenly had the urge to read The Book of Mormon of the Introduction. I did follow my feelings and did read it, on the 3rd paragraph I knew then my prayer was answered for it said, “It puts forth the doctrines of the gospel, outlines the plan of salvation, and tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life and eternal salvation in the life to come.” I knew I needed the Gospel in my life, I knew I needed to know what Plan God has for me and you, and I knew that I truly needed to gain peace in my life. The Book of Mormon also gave me an invitation saying, "We invite all men everywhere to read the Book of Mormon, to ponder in their hearts the message it contains, and then to ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ if the book is true." I did obey what it asked of me and I gained a Testimony that it was real and true, I know the Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ, It has changed and saved my life. That is why I’m a Mormon and I will never deny it.

How I live my faith

"be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." (1Timothy 4:12).. The more i seek, ponder and prayer through the word of God, it directs me to know the love of our Heavenly Father and because of what our Savior did for us, I will always do my best to be like Him. I try my best walking His path, reaching His light and having the Faith live as He lived.
