Hi I'm Jan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy making things by sewing, crafting, or creating. I finished my bachelor's degree later on in life (when I was 45) and right now I am working as a teacher's aide in our local junior high school in the extended resource room. I have been married for 38 years, have 5 awesome grown children, and 14 wonderful grandchildren.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother became a convert to the church before I was born. She could see that the church is wonderful for families, youth and old alike. She shared her testimony with friends, neighbors, and strangers. She enjoyed telling everyone how great the gospel of Jesus Christ is. Even though my dad did not participate in church activities, my mother was faithful to go and take all of us children each week to enjoy lessons and instruction by church leaders. I was baptized at age 8, but came to know my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel through study and prayer as I grew. I know all the blessings I have today are a result of staying active, practicing true principles, being faithful in my commitments to the Lord.

How I live my faith

Presently I serve as a secretary in the women's Relief Society organization. I have also served in the nursery, the primary, and in the scouting program. All of my service helps me to learn more about what the Savior wants me to do and to be. I also have the opportunity to learn to use the computer and software programs as a result of magnifying my callings.
