Hi I'm Lacey

Western Washington is home, but I am serving a mission for my church in Hong Kong, China. I am kind, fun-loving, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I love sports, any sport will do, but basketball is my favorite. I enjoy singing and playing musical instruments such as the French Horn and trumpet. I love history; I love learning true stories about what real people have done, so I really enjoy reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I also love math, physics, and astronomy. I am serving an 18 month mission for my church in Hong Kong, China, because I love the peace that I feel from knowing that my Savior lives and loves me. I want to share this peace and joy with others!

Why I am a Mormon

My whole family is LDS, so I was born into being Mormon. My parents believe very strongly in teaching correct principles and then letting their children choose for themselves how to act. That way we can learn for ourselves from our mistakes. My parents made me go to church when I was younger, but once I reached my teenage years they let me decide for myself. If I would have said I didn't want to go any more because I didn't feel like it was true they would have let me. I went to church. I read the Book of Mormon. I prayed to know for myself if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I received an answer. It took time. Every time I went to church, or read or prayed I felt a little more sure that it was right; I was given more peace from God that what I was doing was right. So now I am a Mormon, of my own free will, because I know that this church is true. I know that God lives, and loves us so much He sent His Only Begotten Son to atone for our sins. I know we can live with Heavenly Father and our families forever, because of Jesus Christ. I love my family, and the gospel!!!!

How I live my faith

The purpose of life is to gain knowledge and experience, to return to live with our Heavenly Father again, and to have joy! I will be attending classes at BYU Provo in order to gain more knowledge. I live life to gain experience. I study my scriptures and live the gospel of Jesus Christ. This fills me with peace and joy, because I know that I can live with my family and my Heavenly Father forever. I take that joy and try to serve and love others, so they can find this joy and peace too.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Lacey
I know for me, my family is so important. I have an amazing sister, that I don't always get along with, but whenever I have trouble with boys or something, I know she's there for me. I have two awesome brothers that, whenever I'm bored, are more than willing to play football, soccer, or BlackOps Zombies with me. I have a mom, that however annoying, loves me and always encourages me to look my best. I don't always like to dress really cute and wear makeup and stuff, but I know she's only got my best interests in mind. I have an awesome dad that I know loves my mom. That is really important to me. I want to be able to marry a husband who loves me as much as my dad loves my mom. My dad is also fun to chill with. Right now, we've had a lot of fun watching star wars and doing anything star wars related. His pumpkin was Darth Maul and I was Darth Maul for Halloween. He's so cool :). My main point is that my family members are my best friends. When I'm going through a tough time, they help me out. Life wasn't meant to be easy, but we weren't meant to live it alone.
