Hi I'm Aubry

I am a registered nurse and mom of 2. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest and only girl in my family with 2 younger brothers. I have been married for almost 8 years and am raising my 2 little girls in the same town that I was raised in. We have a tight knit extended family that is very supportive and full of wonderful family traditions. I graduated from college with my Nursing degree and currenly work in a Labor and Delivery unit. I love what I do! I am lucky enough to help little spirits enter this world. I love to travel. It doesn't matter if it's across the state or across the world. I would love to see it all. Some of my favorite travel destinations; Paris, Washington DC, and I can find any excuse to go to Disneyland. I have recently started sewing, despite being raised by a sewing teacher, and I am enjoying being able to create and try new projects.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a Latter Day Saint family. Since my youth I have been taught the basic principles of the gospel but like all members had to recieve my own testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel. When I study and pray to my Father in heaven I know that this is the true church. I know that He knows who I am, that he knows my name and the details of my life. I know that he cares about me and you. He knows what makes me happy, sad and frustrated. He knows that I sin, make mistakes and will go off course at times. But, He loves me and you no matter what and will guide us with a loving hand back to the right path. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet, that he did see God the Father and His son Jesus Christ in a grove of trees. That he restored the fullness of the gospel to this earth and that we have the Book of Mormon because of his willingness to sacrifice and translate the gold plates despite extreme persecution. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it testifies, hand in hand with the Bible, of Jesus Christ and his ministry on this earth. I am thankful for the guidance that I recieve in this life from the Holy Ghost.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints I participate in weekly Sunday meetings. We gather together to worship, partake of the sacrament and learn from each other the gospel of Jesus Christ. I pray to my Heavenly Father daily and strive to read from the Book of Mormon or other Church magazines, such as the Ensign, daily. I am far from perfect in my study and prayer, there are days when life is crazy and I allow myself to forget or put it off until tommorow. But, I can notice the difference that I feel in my life when I am actively working on my testimony, praying and reading. I am more patient with my daughters, happier, I get more accomplished, and my husband and I are closer. Right now I have the opportunity to serve the members in my ward by coordinating meals to be brought in to those who are in need. For example; after surgery, the birth of a new baby, or at any other time the need for assistance arises. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to serve and get to know the families around me. I have also had the opportunity of serving the children in our ward by teaching and leading the singing. It was one of my favorite opportunities to serve. I loved being able to see the children light up as they sang about Jesus.
