Hi I'm Robert

I'm a mormon. I joined the Church months after meeting my wife. We started out as friends. We've become a eternal family since.

About Me

I'm a husband and a father. I spend most of my time with my family. I'm also a Intensive care nurse and am passionate about my work. I have responsibilities in church of course. When and if I have free time, I write and serve in my community as a community emergency response team member. I also participate in Scouting and volunteer in my childrens school. I came fom a small Texas border community. I left there with only the clothes on my back and a car that lasted a month. I was able to get an education and make a difference to society. I would not have been able to do this without some kind of higher power helping me every step of the way.

Why I am a Mormon

I knew there was more to life than just living day by day and doing the best you could for yourself while here on earth. I just didn't know what it was. I came across the Missionaries. My girlfriend introduced me to them a couple of months after we started dating. I did as they asked. I read the book of mormon and I prayed to know if it was true. Several months later I made the decision to be baptized because I felt in my heart that what I was being taught was the truth. Reading the book of mormon brought joy into my life. The church answered all of my questions. Life had meaning and I could not deny that the gospel is true. My family was initially against it, but accepted my decision. Since then I have baptized My mother, my biggest oppponent and she too believes that the church is true. Since then she has had a stroke and has alzhiemers. Knowing that some day I can return to a heavenly father and be able to speak with my mother and talk about my childhood memories brings me great joy and comfort. I know the church is true and do not doubt it.

How I live my faith

As our father in heaven loves each and everyone of his children I know he wants what is best for us. Following his example, I try everyday to emulate that love to my family . I teach them to be good stewards and citizens. I teach them to be kind and loving to all people. I express my love to them everyday. In my profession as a nurse, I show empathy and compassion to the sick and afflicted. I help their families to cope and help them when they grieve. I am passionate about my work and would not be able to do it wihtout the guidance and love of a heavenly father. I serve in my community whenever I have the opportunity. I am part of a community emergency response team standing by as a citizen volunteer ready to help when the need arises. I help at my childrens school and I serve in my church.
