Hi I'm Jordan

I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I am weird and very religious. I am a Mormon and proud of it.

About Me

I am a boy of 14 years old, I have three siblings, two brothers and a sister. I am the oldest and try to be looked up to by people at school and be an example of the standards that i have set for myself. I do track in the hurdles, i play the trumpet, i am forgiving, and very social. Some people may consider me "weird" i consider it a compliment. I am a strong Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church because my parents were both members, i am sealed to them and love them very much. Most people think that if i was born into the CHurch, then i am "brainwashed" a term that is used alot to describe Mormons. But I can say right now that i know that my Church is true and i love it very much. I respect the leaders of my Church and have had personal events happen to me for me to know that. I am not brainwashed, just smart enough to relize that true Church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am an active member of my church, i go every Sunday. I am a 1st counciler in the teacher's quorum. I have four families in my hometeaching assignment and try to get all of them every month, which i have been very successful so far. I follow the standards highlighted in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet everyday, and have been an example to my friends because of it. I plan to go on a mission and am excited for it. I have a strong testimony for my Church and want to share it with lots of investigators. I go to seminary each morning at 5:00, but i love it. I study my scriptures each night and end the day with the Spirit resting in my heart.

Why don’t women hold the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints? How do Mormon women lead in the Church?

Jordan
Women can't hold the preisthood because, first, God chose it that way. And second, I think that, being completly unsexist right now, that men have their own responsibilities and so do women. Men hold the preisthood but what do women do? They are very important, they provide Spiritual strength for the home and friends, they keep us on the straigth and narrow path, away from harm. They are often our shield from Satan and i am grateful for them. Show more Show less

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Jordan
Mormon church services consist of hymns, or songs of praise. THen the sacrament, and then talks by members. They are enjoyable and spiritual. Anyone is allowed to come to church meetings, infact they are welcomed with open arms. You may attend church as much as you want, until you are ready to become a member, or join a different CHurch. I hope you choose the first one. Show more Show less
