Hi I'm Bob

I'm a photo-shooting, French-speaking, former broadcast journalist, husband, father and dentist, and I'm a Mormon (convert).

About Me

I used to make SOUND bites...now I make sound BITES. In other words, I used to be a television news reporter, and now I'm a dentist. Crazy switch, I know, but I found something that I could add to my professional life that made me more able to serve...made life better. Kind of like when I found the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I found a religion that could add to the Christian faith I already had, allowing me to more completely know God and His plan for me, giving me a greater opportunity to serve others, and in the process giving me a better life.

Why I am a Mormon

To say that becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints changed my life would be a pretty big understatement! A year after I was baptized I was called on a full-time mission to Switzerland and France. Once back, I met and married my sweetheart in the Washington, D.C. Temple. Now, we have four awesome kids -- the eldest of whom is a full-time missionary himself in Thailand, and I'm the bishop of a big, thriving ward on the Space Coast of Florida!

How I live my faith

Being the bishop of our ward in Florida is the best! I love, love, love the members of our ward, especially the Primary children and the youth...they're amazing! Serving in the Church provides everyone the blessing of helping one another...whether it's unloading a moving van, vacuuming the chapel, or praying with a family in need. Following the example of our Savior...that's what it's all about
