Hi I'm Jasmine

I'm a wife, a mom-to-be and a teacher. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I'm Jasmine. I've been married for two and a half years, and that has been one of the best decisions of my life. My husband and I are expecting our first child this December, a boy, and we are really excited to expand our little family! I recently finished up all my classes and come December I will have a degree in Mathematics Education and a teaching license in Secondary Mathematics Education. I love mathematics and I love teaching even more. I believe that knowledge and the ability to think is one of the greatest blessings that every single person receives. I love music, and I like to play the piano and flute. I like to learn about random things and I could spend hours on Wikipedia. I love to play games with large groups of people and I especially love to laugh!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up attending The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, but that is not why I'm a Mormon. I'm a Mormon because of what this church teaches. We have a loving Heavenly Father who has sent us here to earth to receive a body, gain experience and to learn. Our Heavenly Father sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to atone for all our sins and sorrows. Through this loving sacrifice, we are able to live with our Heavenly Father again with a resurrected body. Better yet, the gospel teaches us that we can live with both our Heavenly Father and our earthly family again in Heaven. I can be sealed to my family for eternity. I can be married to my husband forever, death does not separate us. This gospel brings me the ultimate message of hope. Isn't it a beautiful plan? Isn't it the ultimate message of love from God? Heavenly Father wants us to live with Him, and He has prepared a way for us to succeed. This gospel has shown me that through the atonement of Christ and through the teachings of Christ, I can succeed, and can be happy forever. This is why I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I attend church every Sunday and I always leave uplifted. I work with the children, as the music leader. We learn and sing songs of Jesus Christ and the teachings of Jesus Christ. I love working with the children because they have the most sincerity I have ever seen. I also love working with the children because I am constantly reminded of how simple and loving God's plan for us is. They remind me to simplify my own life. These kids give out love unconditionally, and I learn by their examples every week.
