Hi I'm Mark Hamblin

I grew up in the White Mountains of Arizona. Worked for utility co. most of my life, and my hobby is team roping. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Born and raised in the White Mountains of Arizona, I love rural life. I have team roped most of my life and my children participated in rodeos through their growing up years. It really brought us closer together. I am the father of 6 wonderful children and soon to be 25 grandchhildren. Our last child was adopted and he has Down Syndrome, and has brought a great amount of joy into our life. My time outside of work is spent with my family in and out of church or roping. My wife and I have been married for 38 years.

Why I am a Mormon

When I decided to read the Book of Mormon it was to see if the LDS church was true, although I have been a member all my life. I prayed earnestly each time I read the book of Mormon to know of its truthfullness. I have always read early in the morning because no one is up and it's very peaceful. I soon found myself unable to sleep at night my excitement was so great to get up the next morning to continue reading. The most important truth that I learned through this experience was that the Holy Ghost is the only way one can know if the church is true. When I think back on that experience it strengthens my testimony even more. I could never leave the church because I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in church positions. One of the great blessings in serving in the church is that everyone has an opportunity for leadership and everyone has an opportunity to follow. It doesn't matter what position you are called to it only matters how diligent you are in serving.
