Hi I'm Mark Ross

I grew up in a family without religious affiliation. I am now an Automation Controls Engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a father of 2 children and about 30 years of age I began to wonder more about the deeper meaning of things. My wife and I managed a small apple orchard and enjoyed life in the moment. My friend offered me an opportunity to see other community members from a different perspective. I found that many of them were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Once my mind opened up I began to study the teachings and they aligned with my personal beliefs so strongly that I could only accept the truth of the Gospel. I have held positions in variety of industries and found that like the Gospel there are certain unchanging principles that reach across all of the facets of our lives.

Why I am a Mormon

As my study of the Book of Mormon began I read the book the first time in 10 days. I then started through again at a slower pace that took an additional 30 days. At the time I was working 12 hours a day 6 days a week. I could not stop. I have grown to love the pearls of wisdom that unfold from my now daily reading. I know that adhering to proper principles my family and I can return to live with a loving Heavenly Father. The Church supports and encourages such a life.

How I live my faith

When we joined the Church we were asked to help in many areas that contributed to our growth and the growth of others. I have been a part supporting the young men of our church for the past 8+ years. I have not always performed the same functions but the connection has always been to the youth. My current responsibilities include being a Scout Master. I am always ready for a backpacking trip.
