Hi I'm Stephanie

I am a Registered Nurse. I am a wife to an Air Traffic Controller. I am a mother, a runner, and an aspiring cook. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Registered Nurse and find immense fulfillment in serving people at such critical times in their lives. I love to learn and cherish my education. I am a wife to a man I have known and loved since high school. I have a large, loud family, and couldn't imagine life any other way. I have been given the opportunity to be a mother to a happy, funny, joyful little girl who makes me laugh and love her every day. I have been trying to create a talent in cooking, which is a very slow and dangerous process (I am always sure my fire alarms are working!). I enjoy being active and running, have participated in a few half-marathons, and hope to someday complete a full one. I prefer spending time with my family, husband and daughter, playing the piano, watching movies, going to the beach, and serving others by giving my of time and talents.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been blessed by being raised by parents who are strong members of the LDS church. When I was younger, I rested on their knowledge and testimonies. But as I've grown older, I've used their examples and the examples of others, and my personal experiences, to develop my own knowledge. I have studied the scriptures, including the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and have come to know Jesus Christ as my Savior and my brother. He has redeemed me from my sins time and again, and carries my burdens of sorrow and pain when I cannot bear them any longer. He also bears the burdens of my family and loved ones, and this knowledge brings me peace. He loves me despite my faults, and hopes for my salvation and happiness. It is only through Him that I can return to live with our Father in Heaven. I believe in a God that loves me as His daughter, and that knows me better than I know myself. I have felt His peace. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God who restored to the earth the gospel that was taught by Jesus Christ while in His mortal ministry. I know that we have a prophet and apostles on this earth again. They minister by the priesthood that has been restored to the earth through Joseph Smith. I believe in eternal families. I know God hears and answers prayers. I belong to the restored church of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love to serve! Because of this, I have chosen nursing as my profession. I am drawn to the field of oncology as I find fulfillment in helping cancer patients cope with the trial of disease, and hope to help them find peace through their own beliefs. At this time, I have chosen to stay home with my daughter. I hope to teach my daughter about love, faith, and compassion through the Savior's example. I hope to teach her resilience and integrity to help navigate her way through this world. I hope to help her become a righteous influence in her community. Someday I will return to nursing, and find joy in serving in that capacity again. I have served the children of my church and love hearing their sweet voices singing of Jesus Christ. I have also worked with the young women of the church, ages 12 to 18. I love to see their personalities form, especially when influenced by their testimonies of Jesus Christ, His atonement, and when based on virtues and principles that infuse them with integrity. I have taught a class to new converts of our church focusing on basic principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ to help them when developing their own testimonies. I love teaching! I have also enjoyed organizing music for the worship service in our church. I find that my testimony of the love of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ is fortified when I sing of Them.
