Hi I'm Arby

I'm a wife, a mother, a waitress and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to play online games and read. I've discovered I like fantasy novels, especially ones by RA Salvatore, Rick Riordan, and am a huge Star Wars fan. I work as a waitress to support my family and enjoy meeting new people everyday! Being a waitress gives me the flexibility to go on school field trips with my children whenever they come up.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert. When I joined the Church, my mother in law was the Relief Society President at the time. She was working closely with the missionaries and they asked her if they could give the discussions to me and her son, who was inactive at the time. We agreed and after a couple of months, I prayed about whether I should be baptized or not and when I got that burning feeling, I knew it's what the Lord wanted me to do. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to return to them and love us. I know that they live, and that this is their true church upon the earth. The spirit testifies of that to me often.

How I live my faith

I am a Visiting Teaching District Supervisor, which means that I get to visit with all the sisters of the church in my neighborhood once a month. I love doing it, we go to their homes and give them a short gospel lesson, pray for them and their families and try to provide any help we can. We mainly just sit around and talk for about an hour and catch up on how their lives are. I've heard interesting stories concerning spiritual things that have happened in their lives and just experiences that help me to be a better friend, mother and person. My sons are active in the scouting program with the Church and they enjoy going on camp outs with their friends and leaders. My 13 year old son helps to pass the sacrament every Sunday. He also teaches the new Deacons to do it as well.
