Hi I'm Wendy

I'm an Arizona native. I have a Masters degree in Spanish Education. I'm a wife and have four great children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom of four children. I love playing volleyball and reading. I also love music, singing, and playing the piano. I went on a mission for the LDS church in Uruguay and love speaking Spanish any time I can. I got my bachelor's degree in Spanish Translation & Interpretation and my master's degree in Spanish Education. We have a daughter with Down syndrome and sometimes it's been hard (frequent hospital visits, health issues, etc.), but she has taught our family so much. She is a light in our home.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because the gospel brings me joy and an understanding of my purpose in life. It helps me to understand the big questions: where I came from, why I'm here, where I'm going after this life. Difficult things happen in life and if I didn't have my testimony of the gospel, I don't know how I'd make it through. I know that with the Lord's help, I can make it through anything and that when it is all over, it will all be worth it. I know that I will see my loved ones who have passed away when this life is over. I know that because Jesus Christ died for my sins, I can repent and be clean and thus able to live with my family, my Savior, and my Father in Heaven after this life. I know that my trials are in my life to help strengthen me and help me become the type of person that Heavenly Father wants me to be. My trials may be very difficult or seem insurmountable, but I know Heavenly Father will never forsake any of His children. I love my Savior and all that He has done for me throughout my life. I love my Father in Heaven. I love my family and am grateful for the gospel that allows me to live to be with all of them again.

How I live my faith

I try to be active in my community and at church. I am a visiting teacher to three sisters. I am the pianist for the Primary (children's organization) and also the pianist for the choir. I help out at my children's school, doing things to help the teachers because they do so much in educating my children. I go out and vote at every election. I try to support community businesses and functions. I try to be a good neighbor and keep an eye open for those who might need my help. I try to be a good example of my beliefs and let them show in the words I use and the activities I participate in. My faith is my life and is reflected in everything I do every day. It's not just a Sunday thing. It's an every-aspect-of-my-life thing. I love it and wouldn't want it any other way.
