Hi I'm Eldon Grant

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very unconventional, self-educated, backwoods cowboy. Even though I grew up in the church and was always considered "active" never really got serious about learning significant life lessons till I was 34 years old. for almost two and a half decades now, life lessons have been my passion. I am married to an angel and have 3 boys and 1 daughter in law (so far). For most of my working life I was an extreme high-end finish carpenter/cabinet maker. Recently I left that behind to write books and show leaders and audiences how to solve problems and bring integrity back to business, organizations and governments and how to enjoy miraculous success--in every area of life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon today, for an entirely different reason than I used to be a Mormon. I was born into a Mormon family. I have basically always believed in God and what our church teaches about Christ, the prophets, the scriptures, etc. I attended seminary, went on a mission to Scotland, was sealed to my extraordinary angel wife in the temple, always participated in church activities and filled many callings, etc. At age 34 however ( I went through the lowest and hardest time of my life. Because of the cumulative effects of my past choices (based on believing I understood more about life than I actually did) I almost lost: my wife, kids, business, health, friends, sense of value, sense of logic, spirituality, etc. That experience forced me to face everything I had ever learned to believe about life and determined that I was either going to discover the undisputable truth about life or die trying--and I didn't care which came first. After one entire year of unsuccessful searching, which includes people everywhere I could find them, continual prayer for guidance, etc. I finally found a path--which included many brilliant and Godly people outside the church as well as a few in the church that changed my life and brought me back to the church in a completely different paradigm than I'd ever imagined before. I discovered that this church is lead by Jesus Christ, through his prophet and other church leaders, mostly because I began to understand core principles of life, how those principles, applied correctly will solve every problem that every person will ever face and how they perfectly harmonized with ALL the teachings in the scriptures and by our prophets and apostles. Most of the time that takes perspective not talked about in church or at face value in the Savior's words, but in the direction and guidance those teachings and words direct us to go...

How I live my faith

My greatest passion in life is discovering truth from illusion. My second passion is sharing that truth and showing others how to discover it for themselves. "The gospel" includes all truth that exists in the universe within the perspective of why the universe exists and the purpose of our lives here on earth. The only way possible for me to "live my faith" is to proactively discover greater truths about life every day and then make sure I am more healthy today than yesterday by living more in harmony with those truths. That includes my spiritual, physical, emotional, social, intellectual, financial and chronological health. Even though much of what we hear in church comes from people who do not understand a lot, and we even hear things that are incorrect, for the most part, those people are good hearted people and trying to do good. By focusing on core principles from the scriptures and words of the prophets and then continue to practice through the week, God will help us discover truth from illusion.
