Hi I'm Dustin

I'm a Mormon. I am a psychologist. I love my family, and the gospel. I know the church is true.

About Me

A devoted husband and father of 5, I am working on my PhD in education psychology. I love to fish and play with my kids. We all love dogs and have adopted 4! After questioning many things about life, I found what I was searching for in the church. The blessings have been immeasurable through the years. I have witnessed life transform from the depths of misery, to the joy and promise of eternity. The road is never easy, but trials make us stronger, and help us understand the plan our father has for us. While we learn to run, we must stumble over obstacles. Trust it is all going to be ok by trusting in the Lord. Before finding the gospel, I was a truck driver. I did not start school until my mid-thirties. I am proof that it is never too late to change, and to be forgiven and blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I sought the truth. I wanted to know if God was real, and if he was real, what was our relationship? Why were we here? Where did we come from? What happens when we die? These are questions that the gospel answered for me...completely. Where other religions simply shrugged and said "It is not for us to know" my stubborn nature would not accept that. It is a life commitment, it is not a Sunday religion, it is eternal. It is not easy because of the world we live in, but I testify it is worth every sacrifice that you can make. The time we have here is a blink of an eye, eternity is just what it says, eternal. Nothing is a important as knowing how to get back home. Nothing is as important as bringing others home with you. Every person who lives in this world made the correct choice to be here, and not cast out. The power of God's priesthood can be the beacon of light that brings you, and your family and friends to safe harbors. I testify that nothing is as important as knowing your father, your savior, and your purpose. Lastly, read the Book of Mormon, front to back, and pray about it. There is nothing that will calm your soul and mend your heart like the testimony of its divine truth. Do not be deceived by those that mock it, it is true, every word, I testify and stake my very life on it. Find out for yourself. Your father in heaven, and your savior Jesus Christ are waiting, simply ask....and receive.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the principles of the gospel. I try to share my testimony of Jesus Christ with all that will hear. I try to teach my children the principles of the gospel that will guide them home. I attend church meetings, and support my wonderful wife as the ward organist. Like anyone else, I often fall short, but remain ever thankful of the atoning sacrifice that my savior made for me. We are not to be downtrodden when we make mistakes, but cheerful in knowing repentance is possible by the Lord Jesus Christ. Attending the holy temple is a blessing I enjoy when the opportunity presents itself. I also like genealogy, and teaching others about home food storage and preparedness. Most of all, I just try to be an example to others enough to have them ask "What is different about you? What do you believe?" Then we are blessed to share our testimony with our brothers and sisters. I live my faith one day, one step at a time, in the hopes that the spirit of the Lord will guide me through.
