Hi I'm Brandon

I live in Georgia. I have a wonderful family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my wife and can't wait for my baby to be born. Family is the most important thing to me in the world. I served as a missionary for two years in south India and I love the people of India very much. I am in college studying Middle Eastern Studies. I am learning Persian and Turkish and have studied in Tajikistan. I like to wakeboard, snowboard, ride dirtbikes, and offroad. I also plays the drums and a bit of guitar.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a large Mormon family I have seen the marvelous blessings that come from the raising a family in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The teachings of the Mormon Church are centered around the family. Growing up I found so much strength and joy from teachings of the church such as the Word of Wisdom, which gives us guidelines of how to keep ourselves physically as well as spiritually healthy. While serving as a missionary in India I learned to love the people I taught the Gospel to because I saw how it changed their lives and brought joy into their homes and families as they accepted the teachings we brought them. The Book of Mormon is so special to me. I have seen its effects in my life as I have made it a priority in my life to study it daily. I have come to know my Savior and my Heavenly Father personally through my study of the Book of Mormon and The Bible.

How I live my faith

Growing up as a Mormon I found a lot of strength from my youth leaders in church who helped me deal with the temptations that surround teenagers today, especially through their example. I am happy to now be one of those leaders for the youth in the church today. I teach sixteen through eighteen year olds how they can live the Gospel in this world of changing and steadily declining moral values and I hope my example helps them make the right choices. I have to say that living worthily of God's blessings and being happily married to a wonderful woman who lives the same way brings me more joy than I ever could have hoped for as a youth and I hope I can inspire the youth of today to strive for the same life that the Lord has blessed me with.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

While serving as a proselyting missionary, I grew to love the people in the area I was serving. The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings me so much joy and the thought of not having it in my life is terrifying. As a missionary, the love I had for the people I was serving began to be so much that all I wanted was for them to feel the same joy I felt. I began to feel excited for what their lives will be as they accept the marvelous teachings of the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. We as members of Jesus Christ's church feel love for all of our brothers and sisters and therefore want all of our brothers and sisters to know the same joy that we have found through His true gospel, that is why we strive so earnestly to share it.
