Hi I'm Maria

I'm a wife, physical therapist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the middle child in my family. I was born and grew up in Colombia, South America, and moved to the United States with my family when I was 12 years old. I love spending time with my family, going to the beach, dancing, drawing, watching movies, exercising, and anything outdoors. I recently got married to my amazing husband for time and all eternity in one of God's Temples. That was the most special day of my life. I graduated about a year ago from physical therapy school and started my first job as a physical therapist this year. I love my job. I love that I get to help people recover from various physical conditions and progress to a better quality of life. I love learning about others and their experiences.

Why I am a Mormon

All my life I've been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I'm a member because I know that this is the true Church of Jesus Christ. I know that He is at the head of it and that all the teachings, principles, and doctrines taught in this church come from God and Jesus Christ and that they are true. I'm a member of this church because I have felt the joy, peace, and blessings that come from living the teachings, principles, and doctrines in my personal life. I have also seen the change it has made in the lives of those who live the same teachings/beliefs.

How I live my faith

One of the ways I live my faith is by serving and loving my family. Another way I live my faith is by serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. At this time I'm serving as a member missionary where I live. I help the missionaries in our area as they teach people the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm also sharing my faith in God, Jesus Christ and my knowledge of the gospel and the blessings I've received in my life with my co-workers and friends. I also live my faith at work by helping, caring, encouraging, and serving the people I treat as a physical therapist. In addition, I live my faith by trying to follow the example of Jesus Christ, living and being obedient to His teachings as found in the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and the words of His modern-day prophet and apostles.
