Hi I'm Annie

I love chocolate, potatoes and the good word of God :)

About Me

I love chocolate one: because it's dee-lish-ous, two: because it's the color of my husband and daughters' skin and three: that wonderful deep brown represents the color of skin and language of so many Latinos that I have come to love. I love potatoes because they make such tasty fries and the potato was the crop that brought my husband's family from southern Texas to Idaho as migrant workers. While working there they meet a wonderful couple who introduced them to a new way of life. This way of life brings miraculous changes and the help that each one of us needs to survive in this world. If it wasn't for those wonderful potatoes that brought them to Idaho I'm not sure I would have ever meet the man of my dreams, Arturo. and I love the good word of God because it has changed my life forever. Sometimes I have to admit I don't understand everything I read the first time and sometimes the second time, but I know where and how to find the answers. My Heavenly Father has not left me alone to struggle in this life without knowing who I am or why I am here.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a teenager many of my friends would joke about me being a Mormon. Others would try to convince me I was wrong and had to follow the Bible the way they interpreted it. Perhaps they didn't know it, but because of what they said and did it made me really study and read the scriptures, ask questions and find answers. I really wanted to know if Jesus Christ was at the head of this church. I know that God has answered my prayers. The Book of Mormon works hand in hand with the Bible in teaching truth and repentance to me and everyone else. It has changed my life. I truly feel like the happiest girl in the whole world. :)

How I live my faith

I love to work with people of all ages and in the church I am able to help people of all ages come unto Christ. I love speaking Spanish also and our family has the chance of going to a Spanish congregation in our area. I starting learning Spanish when I was in Toronto, Canada, serving Latinos living in that area. I feel in many ways I live my faith by speaking a language I had no idea how to speak about ten years ago. God helps me speak Spanish. I could not have learned it on my own. Belief me I tried before then and failed.
