Hi I'm Kaitlyn

I grew up in Idaho, I'm married, I'm a Mom, and I'm LDS or in other words I'm a Mormon! I love it!

About Me

I’m from a small town in Idaho, I’m one of six children in my family and I fall second to youngest. I have four older sisters and a younger brother. I attended BYU-Idaho after high school, and graduated with an Associates Degree of Science and from there continued my education at Eastern Idaho Technical College EITC, where I graduated as a Dental Assistant.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Although I was raised in the gospel I still had my free agency to choose and make choices. It wasn’t a free bus ticket to the celestial kingdom. I had to find out for myself if being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the thing for me. The Lord has blessed me with many trials in my life, some small and some that seemed huge and impossible to overcome. Those trials have made a huge impact on my life and have strengthened my testimony of the gospel, because at a young age I had already set goals and standards for myself. Those goals and standards are what helped me in those difficult times; I didn’t have to think about saying yes or no when I was offered an alcoholic beverage multiple times. It was an easy quick answer. I also know I’m not alone. There is always one person who knows exactly what I’m going through. I have traveled across the country and was able to see how much I have compared to those people, how grateful I am to live where I do, and that I have the gospel in my life and know that I am a daughter of my heavenly father who loves me for who I am. He knows me inside and out and still loves me even when I make mistakes. Without the gospel I would be lost, I have spent an entire summer with many people who were Christian but didn’t have the fullness of the gospel like I did, nor did they share the same standards. At times I felt alone and like an outsider, but I always remembered that I have standards, and that no matter how alone I feel I’m not. The Lord is always by my side if I allow him to be. The gospel makes me the person I am! I know it’s true and that through scripture and prayer our answers can be answered and the spirit can be with us at all times. If we allow it to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example, I keep my standards high and don’t let others persuade me to do something that I know isn’t what the Lord would want me to do. I attend all my church meetings and look forward to going to church and church activities. I am open about my faith and am okay with people knowing that I’m different, they can ask questions and I’ll answer them in the best way that I can. I remind myself often that I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and that I am a daughter of God and he loves me.
