Hi I'm Em

I was born in Isael and grew up in Michigan. I am serving in the Washington, Seattle mission speaking Russian. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Ramat Ghan, Israel and lived there for two years. I also lived in Texas for two years. For the rest of my childhood I grew up in East Lansing, Michigan. I am a Speech Pathology major at Brigham Young University. I will be a junior when I get back from my mission. Beginning in October 2013 I will be serving in the Washington, Seattle mission speaking Russian. I love playing tennis and basketball. I also play the viola and the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my joy in life comes from the gospel and the promises and covenants I make with my Heavenly Father. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints gives me a greater perspective and a purpose in my life. I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon, my Savior Jesus Christ, the Plan of Salvation, the prophet Joseph Smith, and the current prophet on the earth today, Thomas S. Monson. I know that my Savior lives and that me loves me. This brings me joy and gives me hope that I can become like Him. I am so grateful for the Atonement, because it allows me to repent and be forgiven and become my best self. The Book of Mormon strengthens my faith every day as I read it. I always feel the Spirit and am uplifted when I read. The power of prayer is amazing and it brings me close to my Heavenly Father and my Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through example- growing up in Michigan I was one of four LDS students in my high school. This gave me many interesting and testimony building experiences as I shared my faith by example and by inviting my friends to youth activities and to church. I live my faith through music- I love playing hymns on the viola and the piano. It brings me close to my Savior and uplifts me. I live my faith by attending church- I give talks and share my beliefs with others on Sundays. I sometimes teach lessons the girls in my ward ages 8-12.
